Shikantaza will perform at 8 p.m. on Sept. 8 at the South Brunswick Jazz Cafe, Herb Eckert Auditorium in the Senior Center, located in the South Brunswick Municipal Complex 540 Route 522/Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
The musical trio Shikantaza – Doug Miller on piano, Bernhard Geiger on acoustic bass and Brandon Lewin on percussion – explores the jazz canon and songs from “The Great American Songbook.”
The concert will feature vocalists Tanya Saunders and Ron Orlando, withi special guest performances by Laticia Lewis on violin, Phillip Geiger on cello and Barbara Saunders singing vocals.
