Seniors invited to Birthday Bashes

The Middlesex County Office of Aging and Disabled Services held its Birthday Bashes for the residents who celebrated their 90th brithday or older on May 25. The South Brunswick Senior Center luncheon provided residents from multiple centers in the area of a fun time of dancing, food and beverages, and an ice cream party. Maunel Rivera, of East Brunswick, celebrates his 94 brithday with friends, family, and ice cream.

The Middlesex County Office of Aging and Disabled Services will once again hold Birthday Bashes for senior citizens age 90 and over as part of its National Older Americans Month celebration.

Residents are asked to attend the event based on their residency:

The Edison luncheon on May 22 at the Edison Senior Center will honor residents from Edison, Metuchen, Perth Amboy, South Amboy and Woodbridge;

The South Brunswick luncheon set for May 24 at the South Brunswick Senior Center will honor residents of Cranbury, East Brunswick, Jamesburg, Milltown, North Brunswick, South Brunswick and Plainsboro; and

The Old Bridge luncheon set for May 31 at the Old Bridge Senior Center will honor residents from Helmetta, Old Bridge, Monroe, Sayreville, South River and Spotswood.

All events begin at 11 a.m.

Seniors who need transportation should check with their local senior centers.
