Some $2,600 is raised to help send children to summer camp through the campaign with the Y and Macy’s

The YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge and South Amboy received some $2,600 through the Summer Camp Scholarship Fund campaign, which helps send children to camp this summer.

From May 1-22, Macy’s customers at Menlo Park Mall in Edison and Woodbridge Center Mall were able to “Make Good Cents” and round up their in-store purchases to the nearest dollar and donate their change to help send local kids to summer camp at the Y.

The campaign helps to support the cost of summer camp. Nationwide, the Macy’s campaign raised over $1 million to send 8,615 kids to camp at the Y.
