• The Allentown Library will present a program about “The Battle of Brooklyn” at 7 p.m. Sept. 26. This was the largest battle of the American Revolution, taking place six weeks after the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The battle resulted in a defeat for the Continental Army. Pickup dates are Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-11:15 a.m. and Saturday from 9-11 a.m. Volunteers will gladly carry food to a client’s vehicle.
