SOUTH BRUNSWICK – The New Jersey Department of Health announced it has tested 20,537 people so far for COVID-19: 13,661 were negative and 6,876 were positive, as of March 26.
The Middlesex County Health Department notified South Brunswick officials of three new positive cases: a male in his 50s, a male in his 60s and a female in her 60s, all recovering at home, according to information provided by South Brunswick on March 26.
Governor Phil Murphy announced schools will be closed through at least April 17 during his address on March 26.
He also said that businesses operating in violation of his executive order should be reported at covid19.nj.gov/violation or by dialing 2-1-1.

Murphy also announced the launch of an online portal to connect New Jersey residents with jobs in critical industries responding to COVID-19. Visit jobs.covid19.nj.gov. Employers in critical industries should submit information about job openings at jobs.covid19.nj.gov/intake.
The NJ Mental Health Cares helpline offers support to individuals experiencing anxiety and worry related to the coronavirus pandemic. Residents can get support, talk to someone or get referrals by calling 1-866-202-HELP (4357). NJ Mental Health Cares will be answered from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week, by live trained specialists.
