Children can write letters to Santa. A drop box is located at the Hightstown Elks Lodge in East Windsor. Santa and his elves will deliver messages to each writer.

The Hightstown Elks Lodge’s annual Letters to Santa campaign is off to an early start this year.

Children of all ages are invited to write their letters to Santa and drop them off in Santa’s special mailbox outside the front doors of the Elks Lodge, 110 Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor. No postage is needed.

“Parents are asked to help make sure your child’s name and return address are written clear and legible,” Deborah Obst, Elks Letters to Santa coordinator, said in a prepared statement.

Santa and his elves will read every letter and send a response to each child in time for Christmas.

Santa can also respond in Spanish. Mark the letter accordingly.

Deadline to drop off the letters is Dec. 14.

Donations to the Hightstown Elks Lodge Pajama Drive for Lala & Mimi’s Pajama Project are also being accepted at the lodge. Peddie School sophomores Lauren and Mackenzie Multari are the driving force of Lala & Mimi’s, respectively.

“Any new pair of pajamas, kids size 5 through adult large, are most in need,” Ro Multari, mother of the twins, said in the statement.

“To adapt with social distancing, we’ve placed a contactless community drop off bin right outside the Elks Lodge front doors, next to Santa’s mailbox,” Lou Gamba, Elks Exalted Ruler, said in the statement.

Online pajama donations can be shipped to the Elks lodge, 110 Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor 08520.

Proceeds benefit Mercer County area children in need this holiday season.
