The Local Fix Foundation is looking for volunteers for our third annual beach clean!
Last year, over 90 volunteers spent 2.5 hours combing a mile of beach at Sandy Hook. Over 900 lbs of trash was collected- including a rubber tire!
This year we’re focusing our efforts on Belmar Beach. Each year, thousands of beach goers visit the beautiful boardwalk and beach, but we don’t always leave it as pristine as we find it. So, join the Local Fix crew as we restore the shore to its glory before the summer season kicks in!
Here’s the plan: On the morning of April 23rd, registration and safety briefing will start at 9:00am and then we’ll start cleaning at 9:30am! When the job is done, we’ll celebrate with a well-deserved brunch- on us.
The Local Fix and our sponsors will provide all the supplies and Mazza Recycling will sort away what we collect, so you just need to bring your friends, family, and good vibes (:
