On Jan. 7, 2016, I had the privilege for the third time of administering the oath of office to Marlboro Mayor Jonathan L. Hornik. Mayor Hornik concluded his remarks with a quote from President John F. Kennedy.

As someone who was a national college leader for President Kennedy’s campaign and later served as a volunteer staff associate for Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, I know firsthand that Mayor Hornik exemplifies the Kennedys’ courage and commitment to good government.

On all important issues, including the environment, transportation and innovative programs like Shop Marlboro, Mayor Hornik has helped establish Marlboro as one of New Jersey’s great communities. His commitment to serving the diverse Marlboro community equally is a further example of his outstanding leadership.

We in Marlboro are fortunate that our great mayor has been elected to serve another term.
