POLICE BLOTTER for the week of 2/12/16

The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016. 
Emil Borrell, 29, of East Windsor, was charged with DUI, refusal to submit to a breath test, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, having an open container in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, careless driving, having a suspended driver’s license and being an unlicensed driver at 11:54 p.m. Jan. 30 on Route 33.
An officer was on patrol on Route 33 and observed a vehicle driving erratically and conducted a motor vehicle stop. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from within the vehicle. The driver was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. Mr. Borrell was later released pending court action. 
Joseph A. Solack, 24 of East Windsor was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of drugs, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle, DUI, reckless driving and careless driving at 1:18 a.m. Feb. 1 at Wawa on Hickory Corner Road.
An officer responded to Wawa on Hickory Corner Road for an intoxicated person standing outside the store disrupting employees. Further investigation revealed that the individual drove to Wawa while impaired and was also in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Solack was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. He was later released pending court action. 
Officers responded to Windsor Castle Apartments at 3:43 p.m. Jan. 28 for a report of a burglary and theft from a motor vehicle. The victim reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a credit card, the vehicle registration and insurance card. 
Officers responded to Shop Rite at 3:38 p.m. Feb. 1 for an employee theft. Shop Rite Loss Prevention reported that an employee had under rung merchandise totaling a loss of $1,362.50.
Kaela K. Sarcone, 18, of Hightstown, was arrested, charged with shoplifting and later released pending court action.
