POLICE BLOTTER for the week of 2/19/16

The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016. 
Officers responded to the McGraw Hill parking lot at 5:15 a.m. Feb. 6 for a theft of an ATV belonging to a snow removal company. The victim reported that the vehicle, valued at $6,000, was taken sometime between Jan. 27 and Feb. 5. 
Officers responded to Etra Park at 2:07 p.m. Feb. 7 for a report of a burglary and theft from a motor vehicle. The victim reported that someone shattered the vehicle’s window and stole a purse from the front seat. The victim reported the loss to be $315. 
Jose L. Espinoza-Faican, 32, of East Windsor, was charged with DUI, refusal to submit to breath testing, DUI in a school zone, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, having an open container in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, careless driving, having a suspended license and being an unlicensed driver after being observed in his car on Jamestown Road at 1:06 a.m. Feb. 8.
Officers were dispatched to Jamestown Road to check on a suspicious occupied vehicle. They located the vehicle and found a male sleeping inside the running vehicle. After waking the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from within the vehicle. Mr. Espinoza-Faican was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. Active warrants for his arrest were also located in East Windsor, Hightstown, and Cranbury Municipal Courts in the amount of $3,428. He was later released after posting bail. 
Martin J. Carlese, 51, of Bordentown, N.J., was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and with having no front license plate displayed after a traffic stop at 4:40 p.m. Feb. 9.
An officer was on patrol in the area of Route 130 and Route 133 when he observed a vehicle operating without a front license plate and conducted a traffic stop. Further investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Carlese also had an active warrant in the amount of $500 from Southampton Municipal Court. He was arrested and released after posting bail. 
Officers responded to Windsor Crossing at 10:12 a.m. Feb. 10 for a report of a burglary and theft from a motor vehicle. The victim reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a computerfrom the front seat. The victim reported the loss to be $500.
