Democratic Councilwoman Jenny Crumiller formally announced Monday that she is running for re-election.
“I have done my best to make our new government inclusive and transparent and to look for cost savings without diluting the quality of services,” she said in a statement. “There is more to be done, I know what needs to be done, and this is why I am seeking re-election.”
Ms. Crumiller had made clear that she was intending to run for another term. She was elected to serve on the council of the consolidated government in 2012 and re-elected in 2013. Prior to consolidation, she served on Borough Council.
Ms. Crumiller, 56, is part of a four-person field of candidates running for two seats. She joins former school board president Tim Quinn and residents Leticia Fraga and Anne Waldron Neumann, with the two winners of the Democratic primary advancing to the general election in November.
