To celebrate Long Branch’s Main Library’s 100th year serving the community of Long Branch, “100 things” will be collected each month to donate to community organizations. For the month of March dry snacks (chips, nuts, granola bars, jerky, etc.) will be collected for military personnel stationed abroad. All items will be donated to Eagles Up! whose mission is “to serve, support, and assist our military personnel, our wounded, our fallen heroes and all of their families; to actively engage the community with activities that foster better understanding of our country’s true heroes and their families.”  Help us meet our goal and send a snack to a serviceman-or woman serving overseas, and let them know we are thinking of them back home.

During the month of March, please drop off donated snacks to the Main Library, 328 Broadway, Long Branch. For more information, please call Kathryn Angelo, librarian, at 732-222-3900, ext. 2270.
