The Garden Club of Metuchen will meet at 6:45 p.m. on April 4 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Fryer Hall, 17 Oak Ave., Metuchen. “Insect Friends and Foes” will be presented by Diane Allen, Master Gardener and Horticultural Program Designer for Monmouth County Parks. An “almost organic” home gardener for over 30 years, she uses integrated pest management techniques. She believes it is important to see our gardens and landscapes as a part of nature, rather than apart from it. The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m., with light refreshments, followed by the program at 7. All are invited.
