League of Women Voters slates talk on race relations

RED BANK — The League of Women Voters of Greater Red Bank will sponsor an interactive discussion on race relations at 7 p.m. March 30 at the Monmouth County Library, Route 35, Shrewsbury.

The topic will be “Communicating Across the Racial Divide: Your Comfort Zone — What Is It and How Do You Get Out?” Guest speakers will include psychologist Alison P. Block, Ph.D., and clinical social worker Laneet A. Rozier, LCSW.

Dr. Block is the director of the Health Psychology Center in Little Silver, director of the psychosocial curriculum for the Department of Medicine at Monmouth Medical Center and clinical instructor in medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine.

Rozier is the former mental health administrator for Ocean County and a former member of the Monmouth County Mental Health Board. She currently serves as operating officer for programs at Preferred Behavioral Health Group with offices in Ocean and Monmouth counties.
