Lincroft Village Green Association plans Spring events

The Lincroft Village Green Association will sponsor its 12th annual Community Yard Sale from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on April 23. LVGA members interested in having a yard sale can register for free at www.lincroftvillagegreen.org. Registration ends April 20. The LVGA will advertise, provide signs and have an online listing of addresses and items for sale. The online listing will be available on the website after 6 p.m. April 22. Membership to the LVGA is $25 per family and is open to all Lincroft residents.

“Clean the Green Day” to celebrate Arbor Day is 10 a.m. on April 30 at the Lincroft Green, located on Newman Springs Road, between Phalanx Road and Swimming River Road. Parking is available on Old Phalanx Road. Volunteers are needed to help clean up garbage, plant trees and improve the bocce court. Gardening enthusiasts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Honor Society Students, and anyone needing volunteer hours are encouraged to help.

The LVGA Community Scholarship Fundraiser is from 4 p.m.- 9 p.m. on May 11 at Melody’s Cafe, 650 E. Newman Springs Road, Lincroft. Melody’s Cafe will donate 15% of sales to benefit the scholarship fund. The LVGA has established two $500 scholarship awards for Middletown High School South seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence and bettering the Lincroft Community. MHSS seniors can find the application and more information in the MHSS Guidance Office.
