Police said they found marijuana, a hunting knife and a sword when an officer stopped a 2010 Ford on March 7 at 8:48 p.m. on Route 31 near the Pennington Circle for driving without headlights activated.
Officer Chris Vaccarino said the driver provided a false name to him. The officer said he also smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search found the man and a 17-year-old boy passenger from Ewing allegedly in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, one large hunting knife and a sword, as well as a bottle of alcohol. They were placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters where Officer Vaccarino identified the driver as Wallace E. Vickers, 18, of Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton.
Mr. Vickers was also charged with obstructing the investigation by providing a false name and he was found to have a $300 warrant out of Trenton for his arrest. After being processed, both driver and passenger were released.
