Vintage fashion show to explore clothing from two centuries

Did you ever wonder why Lady Mary from “Downton Abbey” needed a maid to help her dress? Discover why at the “Walk Down Memory Lane” luncheon, boutique and vintage fashion show, which will begin 11:30 a.m. May 4 at Mister C’s Beach Bistro at Ocean Place and Allen Avenue in Allenhurst.

The Allenhurst Garden Club will present the show featuring clothing from the 1890s through the 1950s.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased by mailing a check made payable to the Allenhurst Garden Club and sending it to P.O. Box 282, Allenhurst, NJ 07711. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
