The Shore Conference Hockey Association will hold its annual Senior All-Star Game April 24 at Middletown Ice World. The puck will drop at 3 p.m.

The Shore coaches chose the sides for the American and National teams. A draft system was used for the selection process — not the usual Monmouth vs. Ocean format — with coaches choosing the seniors from a pool, which is the reason why some high school teammates ended up on opposing sides.

The American squad will be coached by Howell High School’s Bill Daly, Ocean Township High School’s Dave Smith and St. John Vianney High School’s Mick Messemer.

The American all-stars are led by high-scoring forwards Khristian Acosta from Middletown High School North and Anthony Gallicchio from Howell.

Completing the American club’s forward are Pat Hemley (St. John Vianney), Henry Cioffi (Ocean Township), Brendan Ban (Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School), Zach Noble (Toms River High School East), Joe Low (Jackson Liberty High School), Nick Godfrey (Southern Regional High School), Tim Clifton (Howell), Matt Scalvino (Southern Regional), Anthony Cuccich (Christian Brothers Academy (CBA)) and Anthony DiPalma (Manasquan High School).

Playing defense for the Americans are Joe Marsicano (CBA), Kyle Oliveira (Brick Township High School), Mike Nordstrom (Ocean Township), Steve Ramos (Howell), Cole Kirchner (Red Bank Catholic (RBC) High School) and Sam Lasker (Marlboro High School).

The goalies are Michale Cemero (CBA), Jon Pierce (Red Bank Regional High School) and Nick Tremonte (Marlboro).

The coaches for the National team are Jackson Memorial High School’s Larry Clayton, Central Regional High School’s Joe Pelliccio and Wall High School’s Rick Irace.

Ryan Bogan Jr., who led CBA to two state titles during his scholastic career, leads the National all-star selections.

On defense with Bogan are Nick Pelliccio (Central Regional), Jimmy Stanger (CBA), Justin Mayer (Jackson Memorial), Dillon Simeon (Toms River High School South), Alex Latham (Middletown High School South).

The goaltenders are Paul Mazza (Manalapan High School), Matt Benjamin (RBC) and Chris Belman (Point Pleasant Borough High School).

The National forwards include Mike Termine (Jackson Memorial), Tyler Panico (Wall), Evan Hoey (RBC), Bobby Hampton (Middletown North), Vinny Tomasetti (Middletown North), Eamon Bontempo (Toms River High School North), Kyle Amato (RBC), Mike Vendittoli (St. Rose High School), Cristian Winters (CBA), Zack Zamora (Freehold High School), John Wardlaw (Brick Memorial High School) and Adam Leighton (Central Regional).

“We’re looking forward to the game and everyone having a really good time,” said Mike Celano, head coach at Freehold Township High School and president of the Shore Conference Hockey Coaches Association.

Those selected as alternates are:

Forwards — Robby Feathers (Ocean Township), Alec Mintz (RBC), Kevin Felice (Middletown North), James Timko (CBA), John Monteferrante (Rumson-Fair Haven), Michael Steer (Ocean Township)

Defense — Tyler Melnick (Jackson Liberty), Nick Uliano (Jackson Liberty), Tommy Rossi (Southern Regional), Ryan Davidson (Middletown North)
