WEST WINDSOR N.J. – Paddle for Pink, New Jersey’s Premier Community Dragon Boat Festival, will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016, from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Mercer County Park, West Windsor.

The event is held by the Machestic Dragons (www.machesticdragons.org), New Jersey’s first breast cancer survivor team.

Paddle for Pink promotes breast cancer awareness and raises funds to support breast cancer patients and survivors locally through the Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) of the Princeton YWCA and other local charities.  To date, over $80,000 has been donated.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of this exciting community event, which features live entertainment, vendors, a silent auction, bake sale, bra-decorating contest and spirited camaraderie among 50 teams in multiple race competition divisions.  At mid-day, races pause for a special Flowers on the Water ceremony to honor those who have fought breast cancer, particularly those who are no longer with us.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Teams of neighbors and friends, corporate teams, semi-professionals and teams compiled of all women are welcome.  Twenty paddlers make up a dragon boat team and race against other teams in their division.  No experience is necessary to form a team and the Machestic Dragons provide all equipment, coaches and steerers.  Free parking, and free admission to the festival. Invite your friends and bring your family!
