The film stars Greta Gerwig, Ethan Hawke, Bill Hader, Maya Rudoph, Travis Fimmel and Julianne Moore. Directed by Rebecca Miller, the romantic comedy portrays Maggie Hardin as a vibrant and practical 30-something New Yorker working in education.

Unsuccessful in finding love, Maggie decides now is the time to have a child on her own. When she meets an anthropology professor, Maggie falls in love for the first time and adjusts her plans for motherhood. Complicating matters, her love interest is in an unhappy marriage. With help from Maggie’s eccentric friends, she sets in motion a new plan that intertwines their lives and connects them in surprising and humorous ways.

Tickets to the reception and film are $35 for Monmouth Arts members and $45 for non-members. Film-only tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. To reserve tickets, call 732-212-1890 or visit www.monmoutharts.org/filmsneakpeek.
