Health, wellness series on tap at library

The Old Bridge Public Library Main Branch, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, will sponsor a series of upcoming health and wellness programs.
Yoga and guided-meditation coach Leah Chevalier will present a meditation seminar at 7 p.m. May 24. Chevalier will instruct and guide participants in methods that can be incorporated into daily routines.
A program titled “Preparing for Your Mastectomy” is set for 6 p.m. May 25. Licensed occupational therapist and breast cancer survivor Janice M. Woerner will offer tips on preparing for the hospital stay and suggestions for easing the recovery process. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

A “Healthy Summer Fun” program is planned for 10 a.m. May 27. Michelle Golba-Norek, R.N., B.S.N., of Meridian Health, will discuss the importance of protecting one’s skin, staying hydrated and taking the necessary precautions to enjoy the outdoors.
