After pastoring the Hopewell United Methodist Church for 24 years, the Rev. Dr. Ken Robinson will hang up his clerical robe and head with his wife, Ronda, and their dog, Oliver, to the shores of North Carolina.
Pastor Robinson began his ministry in Hopewell in 1992. Over the years, he has faithfully preached the Gospel on Sunday mornings, during special community Thanksgiving Eve services at the Old School Baptist Church, at the Wednesday evening Lenten services and Easter Sunrise services as part of the ministry program of the Hopewell Council of Churches.
To honor Pastor Robinson for his dedication and commitment to the Methodist Church and the community, church members will host an open house at the church from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 12. People are invited to stop by for food and fellowship, say goodbyes to the Robinsons and send them off with best wishes on their retirement.
