HILLSBOROUGH: Somerset Vo-Tech students graduate from Raritan Valley college, too 

Four students from Hillsborough and two from Montgomery were among the 23 senior students from the Academy for Health and Medical Sciences at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School who received associate’s degrees in general science from Raritan Valley Community College on May 14.
The degree means they have two full years worth of college-level credits, about halfway to a bachelor’s degree.
As part of an accelerated program, the students will also be receiving their high school diplomas from the vo-tech high school on June 22.
Receiving associate degrees were Matthew Calapatia of Hillsborough (cum laude), Alina Lou of Hillsborough (summa cum laude), Mitali Shah of Hillsborough (magna cum laude), Shanaya Shah of Hillsborough (magna cum laude).
Also gaining the honor were Jonathan Garaffa of Skillman (summa cum laude) and Alexander Insdorf of Belle Mead.
