It’s time for the annual Summer Shabbat Sermons. There are still a number of available dates in July and August so contact the synagogue if you are interested in conducting a sermon.
Have you ever wanted to be in a play but didn’t know how to go about it? Well, this is your chance. Beth El Theatre Productions and JEM Productions is holding auditions for “The Odd Couple,” on Sunday, July 10, from 10 a.m. to noon and Monday, July 11, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Some special services are coming up In July. Shabbat on the Lake is Friday, July 29, at 6 p.m. at the gazebo on Lake Drive in the Robbinsville Town Center. The next day, Saturday, July 30, is Blue Jean Shabbat. It’s denim and khakis instead of jackets and ties. On Friday Sept. 9, it’s Tiki Bar Shabbat. Wind down the summer with a 6 p.m. happy hour and 7:30 p.m. service.
Have some extra time? Why don’t you join a Beth El committee? Both the Fundraising and Israel Affairs committees are looking for members. Also, contact Cantor Larry if you are interested in leading a part of the service or reading Torah. A little help can go a long way.
July birthdays and anniversaries will be honored during services on Friday, July 8, and Saturday, July 9.
