POLICE BLOTTER for the week of 6/24/16

The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, June 15, 2016. 
Stephen D. Ryan, 47, of Hopedale, MA, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident after an incident at 11:21 p.m. June 9 at the Holiday Inn.
Officers were dispatched to the Holiday Inn on a report of single vehicle accident. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Mr. Ryan was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. He was later released pending court action. 
Randy J. Andrews, 51, of East Windsor, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, not using required headlights, having a suspended driver’s license, being an unlicensed driver, having an unregistered vehicle, hindering apprehension and obstructing justice after an incident at 12:15 a.m. June 10 on Dutch Neck Road.
While standing in front of the 7-11, an officer observed a white box truck enter the parking lot without its headlights on. As the officer spoke with the driver, he smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on the driver’s breath. Mr. Andrews was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. During the investigation the driver provided a fictitious name to the officer. The driver was later released pending court action. 
Leonard Lebedinsky, 43, of Lawrenceville, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, careless driving and obstructing traffic after an incident at 4:08 a.m. Jun 11 on Route 33.
An officer observed a vehicle stopped in the left lane of Route33 west near Route 133. The officer approached the vehicle and observed the driver sleeping at the wheel. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Mr. Lebedinsky was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. The driver was later released pending court action. 
Dana M. Crawford, 30, of East Windsor, was charged with DUI, DUI in a school zone, reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident and for being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance after an accident at 4:35 a.m. June 13 on Evanston Drive.
Officers were dispatched to Evanston Drive on a report of a motor vehicle accident. The investigation revealed the driver struck two unoccupied legally parked vehicles then attempted to leave the scene without reporting the accident. While speaking with the driver the officer noticed she had slurred speech, was staggering when she exited her vehicle and had to utilize the vehicle to maintain her balance. Ms. Crawford was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. She was later released pending court action. 
The Hightstown Township Police Department initiated the following police reports from June 14 through June 19, 2016. 
Jenifer Cody, 46, of East Windsor, was stopped June 17 for a motor vehicle violation and later arrested for DWI. Mrs. Cody was transported to headquarters, processed and later released to a friend pending court. 
Hernan W. Bermejo, 37, from the 100 block of Clinton Street, was arrested June 17 during a motor vehicle stop for an active outstanding warrant out of Hamilton Municipal Court. Mr. Bermejo was transported to headquarters, processed and later released after posting bail. 
Dana N. Huston, 34, of Morrisville, PA, was arrested June 19 by New Jersey State Troopers and later found to have an active outstanding warrant out of Hightstown Municipal Court. Officers took custody of Ms. Huston and later transported her to Mercer County Adult Correctional Facility to be held in lieu of bail. 
