With the addition of Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury, the company operates 28 senior living communities in 11 states, including Arbor Terrace of Middletown.

Residents of Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury enjoy the best in senior assisted living at every level, including a full slate of activities, fine dining, housekeeping, transportation and help with daily needs, according to a press release. Arbor Terrace includes a wing dedicated to providing specialized services for memory and dementia care.

“In addition to the changes we’ve made to give our residents the best assisted living care, we are excited about the new look and amenities coming to Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury,” said Meghan Windrem, executive director.

Extensive improvements are planned for Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury, including renovations that will enhance the community’s expansive exterior and interior common areas as well as the individual resident apartments.

With the change, the community benefits from The Arbor Company’s nearly 30 years of experience and distinctive programs, such as Dining with Dignity, which promotes increased nutritional intake and helps residents maintain their independence as long as possible, Gem Levels, a positive approach to memory care that addresses residents’ needs and abilities across the dementia spectrum, and the Engaged Living program, which enriches residents’ lives by providing activities they can enjoy within their level of ability.

Other amenities include chef-prepared meals with a variety of choices tailored to residents’ tastes and preferences, an age-friendly design, an on-site Wellness Center with access to medical professionals and care-plan development and a wide range of opportunities for physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as safe and enjoyable exercise options.
