Free concerts ongoing at Middlesex parks

The Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders will continue its free summer concert series with performances in four county parks. All events are free of charge and open to the public. Concertgoers are invited to bring their own lawn chair.

The upcoming concert schedule is as follows:

• July 17, 6-7:30 p.m. — The Broadway Pops Big Band, “Classics From the Great White Way,” Warren Park Mini Theater, Florida Grove Road, Woodbridge;

• July 17, 6:30-8 p.m. — Rave On Band, “The Hits of Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly,” Spring Lake Park, Maple Avenue, South Plainfield;

• July 20, 2-3:30 p.m. — The Perry Brothers, traditional Irish music, Thompson Park Gazebo, Forsgate Drive, Monroe;

• July 20, 6:30-8:30 p.m. — Walt Wagner and The Serenaders, big-band favorites, Raritan Bay Waterfront Park, South Amboy/Sayreville beachfront, O’Leary Boulevard, South Amboy. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the South Amboy Middle/High School auditorium. Shuttle-bus service will be available, courtesy of Middlesex County Area Transit.
