Fairleigh Dickinson University conferred more than 3,000 degrees on graduates in commencement exercises May 17, 2016, at MetLife Stadium.
Among the local students graduating are:
Emily Magsamen, of East Windsor, earned a BA in communication studies at FDU’s Florham Campus, in Madison, N.J.
Patrick McDonald, of Cranbury, earned a BA in film & animation at FDU’s Florham Campus, in Madison, N.J.
Steve Bravo, of Monroe, earned a BA in individualized studies at FDU’s Metropolitan Campus, in Teaneck, N.J.
Ashley Isola, of Monroe Township, earned an MS in homeland security at FDU’s Metropolitan Campus, in Teaneck, N.J. 
Local students at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus, in Madison, N.J., have been named to the Dean’s and Honors Lists for the Spring 2016 semester.
They include:
Jaclyn Quinn of Monroe Township has been named to the Honors List. To qualify for the Honor’s List, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).
Kaveena Bullock of Monroe Township has been named to the Dean’s List. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must carry a 3.2 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).
Matthew Hanna of Monroe has been named to the Dean’s List. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must carry a 3.2 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses). 
Stephanie Lauer of Cranbury, a Special Education major, has been named to the Spring 2016 Chancellor’s List at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
To be named to the UALR Chancellor’s List, a student must have completed at least nine hours for credit with a grade of A, B, C, or CR, and maintained at least a 3.9 grade point average. In addition, the student must not have received a grade of D, F, Incomplete, or No Credit. 
Megan Grelis of East Windsor, an Occupational Therapy major, was named to the Dean’s List in Ithaca College’s School of Health Sciences and Human Performance for the spring 2016 semester. 
Navy Lt. Cmdr. Drew J. Whitting graduated from the College of Naval Warfare at the Naval War College in Newport, R.I. This college is the oldest war college in the nation and oldest institution of its kind in the world devoted to advanced military studies.
He is the son of Stret F. and Joan J. Whitting of Jensen Beach, Fla., and is a 1989 graduate of Peddie School, Hightstown, N.J. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 1997 from Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y. 
Kathryn Schwacha of East Windsor graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, PA, and earned a bachelor of arts in English/women’s and gender studies (double major). 
