HOPEWELL TWP.: Lawrence man charged with theft of jewelry from home

A Lawrence man has been charged with burglary and the theft of about $6,400 worth of jewelry and other items from a Hopewell Township home on July 11 or 12.
Bradley T. Buxton, 22, from Cold Soil Road, Lawrence, was charged July 15.
On July 12 at 9:33 p.m. victims from Old Mill Road contacted the Hopewell Township police to report that sometime in the previous 24 hours someone burglarized their residence while they were away.
Jewelry and other items were valued at about $6,400.
Detective Joe Maccaquano identified Mr. Buxton and arrested him. Police said the detective was able to recover a substantial amount of the victim’s property from a jewelry store where the accused sold the stolen items.
Officer Robert Sparano assisted in the case.
Mr. Buxton was released on his own recognizance. His case will be forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
