Young students invited to attend summer program at EARTH center

Middlesex County students entering grades 4-7 are invited to attend a fun summer program that focuses on the environment.

“Eco-Adventures at the EARTH Center” is scheduled for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. from Aug. 22-26 at the EARTH Center, in Davidson’s Mill Pond Park, 42 Riva Ave., South Brunswick.

The events will have a different theme each day and will explore topics such as ecology, water and resource conservation, climate change, alternative energy and earth-friendly gardening. Each day will begin with a team-building exercise to help students get acquainted with the environment. There will also be hands-on activities and a special field trip on Aug. 24.

The registration fee of $110 includes program materials, a peanut-free snack, beverages and a parting gift. Attendees are expected to bring their own brown bag lunch.

The registration deadline is Aug. 15.

Arrangements can be made for attendees with special needs.
