Jackson library offers Sept. events

JACKSON – The Jackson Library, 2 Jackson Drive, will host a series of special events in September.

The first event is a movie to be shown on Sept. 8 at 2 p.m. Due to film licensing guidelines, the film title cannot be released to the media, according to a press release. The film is rated PG. Teenage and adult attendance is recommended. The film is free, however, advance registration is required and registration is currently open.

“A Dose of Poetry: Nurturing Your Poetic Spirit,” a poetry workshop for adults, will be held on Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. The event will be presented by Christine Marie. Registration is required and is open now.

The next event will be a Sept. 19 movie night for a newly released film. Due to film licensing guidelines, the film title cannot be released to the media, according to the press release. The film is rated PG-13. Teenage and adult attendance is recommended. The film is free, however, advance registration is required. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. Aug. 15.

“Coloring for Adults” will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 20. The press release invites adults to “rediscover the joy of coloring.” Coloring sheets and art supplies will be provided along with light refreshments and relaxing music. The program is free and advance registration is required. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. Aug. 20.
