The New Jersey Elks Central District Americanism Committee will conduct their annual Flag Retirement Ceremony on Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. at the Menlo Park Veteran’s Home, located at 132 Evergreen Road in Edison. The public is invited to attend this service which retires worn flags with dignity and honor. You can bring your worn Flags to your local Elk Lodge located in Carteret, Colonia, East Brunswick, Edison, Metuchen, New Brunswick, Piscataway, South Amboy, South Plainfield, Watchung Hills and Woodbridge.
Most of the lodges have a red, white and blue mailbox to put the flags in.
