Residents will celebrate community at Millstone Day

MILLSTONE – Old and new friends are invited to gather for a day of entertainment, activities, food and fun as they celebrate Millstone Township.

Millstone Day, an annual celebratory event, will be held on Sept. 18 at Frogbridge Day Camp, 7 Yellow Meeting House Road, from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Frogbridge is an 86-acre facility that includes swimming pools, lakes, a miniature golf course, bumper boats, basketball courts, tennis courts, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, gaga courts, and more.

Millstone Day is sponsored by the Millstone Township Recreation Department and will be held rain or shine. The day is a celebration for friends and neighbors from Millstone Township, but residents of all communities are welcome to attend and join in the activities.

According to information provided by the Recreation Department, entertainment will include a DJ who will play music all day.

Activities will include volleyball, basketball, tennis, mini-golf, inflatables, rock wall climbing, a bungee trampoline, paddle boating, fishing and swimming, according to the Recreation Department. There will also be a basketball contest. Equipment is provided on site for all recreational activities, except for fishing equipment.

There will be a charge for the inflatables, the bungee trampoline and the rock wall climbing.

There will be a pumpkin patch where guests can select a pumpkin of their own for free. Pumpkins can be decorated at the Recreation Department tent, which will also offer free seasonal crafts.

Vendors and groups with displays will be present at Millstone Day, according to the Recreation Department. Food vendors and organizations will offer hamburgers, hot dogs, cotton candy, French fries, assorted drinks, baked goods and more.
