Brush is not permitted in the landfill, and therefore, it cannot be collected with garbage.

Normally residents must deliver brush to a dropoff site, but instead, South Brunswick will offer curbside brush collection.

Items that will be picked up include brush, branches, shrubs, bushes that are less than four feet in length and less than five inches in diameter. They must be securely tied in bundles that are less than 50 pounds. Bundles should be placed curbside, and not in the street, by 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 26.

The collection may take more than one week.

No bags, leaves, weeds, stumps, litter or garbage will be accepted.

Residents choosing the delivery option for recycling brush may take it to the convenience center located behind Sondek Park, 473 New Rd., from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

For more information, call the Recycling Department at 732-329-4000, ext. 7274.
