The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation will hold its 21st Anniversary Gala at 6 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club, 20 Shore Oaks Drive, Farmingdale.
This year, Senate President Stephen Sweeney (D-Gloucester) will be honored for his support of all veterans and active-duty military personnel. President of the state Senate since 2010, Sweeney has represented the 3rd District since 2002 and has been a leader on important state issues, including fighting to improve the lives of veterans. He also oversaw the passage and enactment of numerous pieces of legislation benefiting veterans and their families.
