Central New Jersey Interfaith Stitchers for Peace is a grass-roots organization dedicated to crafting hope, healing and peace one stitch at a time through non-violent compassionate action.

As members knit, crochet, weave, or quilt each item, they pray for each other; for the recipients of the items we create; for those who deliver our items; and for hope, healing and peace throughout the world. People of all faiths or those who profess no faith are welcome to join.

The group meets the second Sunday of the month at different locations. The first meeting will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Oct. 9 at the Islamic Society of Central Jersey, 4145 Route 1 south at Promenade Boulevard, Monmouth Junction.
