The East Brunswick Museum will host its annual Candlelight Cemetery Tours 5:30-8 p.m. Oct. 15 and 16 at the historic Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Old Bridge Turnpike, East Brunswick. Tours will last approximately 45 minutes each.

Costumed re-enactors will portray former residents of East Brunswick and the surrounding area, bringing their characters to life with displays and demonstrations. More than 500 luminaries (candles in bags) will line the walking path for the tours, which wind through the historic section of the cemetery. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own flashlights for safety. Refreshments will be available at the end of each tour.

Admission is $10 for adults, $4 for youngsters ages 12 and under. Free parking will be available.

The tours, which serve as the museum’s major fundraising event each year, are open to the general public but are not appropriate for individuals who have walking problems or for children in strollers.
