Pearson played for the Rams in the late 60s, was grand marshal for the homecoming parade and attended the East Brunswick High School game at Edison High School to watch his nephew, Kyle Wiggins, Oct. 21. He was in attendance the following day when the Rams hosted Keansburg High School.

One of five South River greats to have their number retired, Pearson was a wide receiver and quarterback at South River, then played the same positions at Tulsa University and became an all-pro receiver for the Dallas Cowboys.
