PRINCETON: Woman injured when hit by car at Valley Road intersection

A 74-year-old Princeton woman suffered head injuries when she was struck by a car as she was walking across the intersection of Ewing Street and Valley Road Thursday afternoon, according to the Princeton Police Department., Connie Rubel, 74, of Jefferson Road, was walking east on Valley Road and was attempting to walk across the intersection at Ewing Street when a Toyota sport utility vehicle, which was headed west on Valley Road, turned left onto Ewing Street at 2:41 p.m., police said., The Toyota Rav 4, driven by 73-year-old Mei Zhao of Avenel, struck Ms. Rubel, police said. Ms. Zhao was not injured, but there was minor damage to the Toyota., Ms. Rubel was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton for treatment of her head injuries., The accident remains under investigation, police said.
