Poetry contest focuses on coping mechanisms

The NAMI New Jersey (National Alliance on Mental Illness) fourth annual Dara Axelrod Expressive Arts Mental Health Poetry Contest 2017 will be held in honor of National Poetry Month in April and Mental Health Awareness Month in May.

Participants should submit a poem that exhibits the process or processes he/she uses to help make it through tough times.
Poem should be in keeping with the theme; be typewritten as a document, not a PDF; be no longer than 40 lines; be accompanied by a media release form; and include a cover letter that includes your name, e-mail, mailing address and phone number.
Submission deadline is April 3. Mail typed entries to: NAMI NJ Poetry Contest, 1562 Route 130, North Brunswick 08902, or email to poetry@naminj.org.
