Curtis E. Newson, 49, of Trenton, was charged with shoplifting for failing to scan 11 items, valued at $109.45, at the self-checkout register at Walmart at 2:23 p.m. March 4. He put the items in a Walmart shopping bag as if he had scanned them, and left the store. He was also found to be a wanted person by the New York City Police Department, and had an active warrant for $100 from Newark Municipal Court. He was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center., Police are looking for a man who stole electronic items from Sam’s Club on Nassau Park Boulevard on Feb. 26 by concealing items inside his clothing. Store employees believe the same man stole items from the store on Feb. 27 and March 1. The shoplifting incidents were reported March 2 at 1:28 p.m., Leon G. White, 29, of Somerset, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and failure to maintain a lane after he was stopped by police in the parking lot of the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant on Route 1 South at 1:50 a.m. Feb. 26. He was released with a pending court date., Someone tried to use personal information belonging to a 50-year-old West Windsor Township resident to apply for a Discover credit card Feb. 1. He was advised of the attempt by an identity monitoring service, and discovered the attempted use of his personal information when he contacted Equifax. The incident was reported Feb. 24 at 1:13 p.m., A 50-year-old Holland, Pennsylvania, woman reported that someone tried to use her credit cards that had been stolen from her purse while she was at work at NRG Corp. Feb. 21. She received text messages from the credit card companies alerting her that fraudulent charges may have been made on her credit cards at Walmart and Target at the Nassau Park Pavilion., Barrett M. Green, 40, of Trenton, was arrested on an active warrant for $250 from West Windsor Township Municipal Court after he was turned over to West Windsor police by the New Jersey State Police at 2:47 p.m. Feb. 16. He was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center.
