The Tinton Falls Community Gardens (TFCG) are now open for spring gardening, and spaces remain for area residents to join in the effort.

Now in its eighth year, the TFCG has two locations in the historic district of Tinton Falls. The initial garden is located behind the Crawford House on Tinton Avenue. In 2015, increased demand led to the addition of a second location on nearby Water Street.

“Many people like to know where their food comes from,” said TFCG Chair Denise Catalano.  “Our members have the ability to grow produce for their own tables, to learn about organic gardening and also to enjoy the process of gardening alongside their neighbors.”

The season at both locations runs through Nov. 15, and fees range from $20-$25 annually depending upon the size of the plot.
