Andrew Eisenschmied, 18, the son of Margaret and Martin Eisenschmied, had his Eagle Scout Court of Honor on March 12. He is a member of Troop 82, sponsored by the Cassville Volunteer Fire Company.

Andrew’s brother Matthew, 24, attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 2011, and his brother Alex, 20, attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 2015.

For his Eagle Scout project, Andrew collaborated with staff members at Jackson’s Goetz Middle School to construct a retaining wall and reconfigure the entrance area at the school. Construction took place in July 2016.

“Andrew went to Goetz for the sixth, seventh and eighth grades. He has fond memories of his years there and when he learned the school was in need of someone to do the project, he was more than happy to jump in and get it done. He appreciated the education he received there and in the Jackson School District and this was his way of giving back to the school and the school community,” his mother said.

Andrew said he was pleased to attain the rank of Eagle Scout. He has been involved in scouting since he was in the first grade.

“I was relieved and happy to receive the honor,” he said. “It was 12 years in the making, but it finally paid off.”

Andrew is a 2016 graduate of Jackson Memorial High School. He is attending Rowan University’s Rohrer College of Business where he is majoring in finance and business information systems.

“My husband and I were extremely thrilled and proud of Andrew as we were for his brothers before him that he earned this honor. For each of them, it was 12 years in the making and many long hours of hard work. The pride we felt as parents when we knew our son had accomplished this goal was indescribable,” Eisenschmied said.

“We were profoundly grateful to the many people in Andrew’s life, family, friends, the leadership and members of Troop 82, the Jackson School District, area merchants such as Clayton Block of Lakewood, Enzo’s Pizza, Home Depot, ShopRite, and more, who supported his efforts. Without everyone’s contribution, he could not have achieved this success,” she said.

Andrew’s brother Alex attends Rutgers University and is majoring in physics. His brother Matthew graduated from Rowan University with a degree in chemical engineering and works for a pharmaceutical company in southern New Jersey.
