Municipal officials are asking residents to wear pink on May 24.

“Please join us and show your support by wearing pink at work, school or wherever you may be and encourage all women in our community, age 40 and older, to have their annual mammogram, to remind women to continue to put wellness first in their lives and to make a difference in the lives of women in our community,” officials said.

Big Frog Custom T-shirts and More of Monmouth is offering 10 percent off any customized pink garments in May and 25 percent of the proceeds from pink orders will be donated to the Pink Fund.

The Jewelry Link is offering 30 percent off any jewelry with a pink stone or any colored stone during May.

Officials are in the process of authorizing T-shirt sales, a women’s pink fitness and self-protection class and an event with Chick-Fil-A. For more information about Paint the Town Pink, visit www.paintthetownpink.com
