Elect Art Haney to the state Senate

In the 1980s through the early 2000s, I was a director of the Middlesex County Environmental Coalition for many years. Our coalition name and my name were plastered all over the newspapers.
Art Haney, who became mayor of Old Bridge during this time, appointed me to the Middlesex County Solid Waste Advisory Council, a position that I was well suited for because of my experience in environmental issues.

Even though I am a Republican, Democrats such as Alan Karcher and Bill Flynn called upon me for information. The N.J. Department of Environmental Protection referred calls to me regarding incinerators. Our group won an award from Ralph Nadar. We knew our stuff.

Soon after this appointment, I received a call from Sam Thompson, senator and head of the Middlesex County Republicans. Because of my name recognition throughout the county, he asked me to be the Republican candidate for freeholder. I laughed and told him that I knew absolutely nothing about bridges, roads, hospitals, budgets etc. As a thinking person, I declined.

My advice to you is to drain the swamp in Trenton and elect Art Haney as your new senator. Let’s actually get something done that is worthwhile for the people and not just to advance the politicians in Trenton.
