Summer reading program set to begin at Old Bridge Library

The Old Bridge Library’s annual summer reading program will begin June 24 with crafts and activities for all ages from 11-3 p.m at the library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza at the corner of Route 516 and Cottrell Road in the Municipal Center.

The program’s theme, “Build a Better World,” will focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities.

There will be an appearance by ScienceTellers and their “Tall Ships and Pirate Tales” at 11 a.m.

In addition, the library will host a “Build a Cardboard Town” program from 12:30-2 p.m. There will also be a 1 p.m. robotics presentation, featuring demonstrations of Sphero, Finch and Code-A-Pillar robots.
