The championship was the second NJPGA/NJSGA Senior Open that Esposito has captured. He also won the Senior Open title in 2014.

Esposito, who is a member of the teaching professional staff at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, has been named the NJPGA Player of the Year five times.

Boosted by his Senior Open championship, Esposito currently leads in the point standings for this year’s NJPGA Senior Section Player of the Year, according to a press release from Forsgate.

Nationally, Esposito has played in two PGA Championships and one United States Golf Association Open Championship as well as PGA TOUR Champions Tour tournaments. In 2014, he won the prestigious Senior PGA Professional National Championship.
