Adults who are interested in submitting artwork for the 6th Annual Collaborative Summer Reading Mural at the South Brunswick Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, should contact Barbara Battles by Aug. 7 to participate.
Artists are asked to submit an image of a whole or part of a building in the form of a drawing, photograph, painting, floor plan or anything else as long as it depicts something related to architecture.
Library members will color copies of all the work and then cut them apart to create a collage.
The size of each submission should be no larger than 11″ x 17″ and can be created using any medium. It must be original work.
There will be an assembly party for the mural at noon on Aug. 12, followed by a reception with light refreshments. A screening of the non-verbal documentary “Baraka” about architecture will follow at 2 p.m.
For more information about the mural project, contact Barbara Battles at 732-329-4000 x7637 or bbattles@sbpl.info.
