South Amboy Arts Council, YMCA partner for workshops

South Amboy’s Arts Council and the South Amboy YMCA will present a new series of evening workshops and classes called Y Art? Because it Matters! The partnership will create awareness for both organizations while providing enriching programs for the community.

The Paradox Process: A Feeling Miracle with Thomas M. Jones, New York author and psychotherapist, will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 9. The interactive workshop will empower attendees with simple yet effective techniques to break through their own barriers. The cost is $25.

Meet the Artist: Professional Best Practices for Artists with Laura Petrovich-Cheney will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23. The cost is $10.

Painting with Mozart with Irina Maryanchik and Dennis Connors will be held at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21. Create inner clarity and reduce stress as you immerse yourself onto the canvas while listening to the music of Mozart. The fee is $25, including supplies.
Getting What You Want: The Paradox Process with Thomas M. Jones will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18. The fee is $25.

The workshops are open to the public. YMCA members receive a 10 percent discount on event registration fees.

All programs will be held at the YMCA, 200 John T. O’Leary Blvd., South Amboy.
