The Metuchen Edison Women’s Club to hold open house Sept. 6

The Metuchen Edison Women’s Club will hold an open house where people can meet the club’s members and learn more about the organization at 7 p.m. on Sept. 6 at The Heritage at Clara Barton, 1015 Amboy Avenue, Edison.

The organization is part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.

The open house will also have a presentation from Carole Nelson, who will be discussing New Jersey’s role in the Underground Railroad and the significance of quilts during slavery. For more information contact Susan at 732-388-9010.
